Professional Recognition in Office Floristry

Assessment Format

The examination combines practical demonstration and written evaluation. You present a workplace arrangement portfolio and complete a knowledge test covering plant health, maintenance schedules, and office environment factors.

What the certification confirms

Detailed view of completed floral design demonstrating professional technique

The credential verifies your ability to select suitable plants for office conditions, create and maintain arrangements that enhance workspaces without disrupting function, and manage plant health in controlled indoor environments. You demonstrate understanding of light requirements, watering cycles, and seasonal adjustments.

Certified practitioners show proficiency in balancing aesthetic quality with practical constraints like desk space, air circulation, and cleaning schedules. The assessment does not measure artistic interpretation but focuses on technical competence and decision-making appropriate to corporate settings.

Requirements and pathway to certification

Prerequisites

Applicants must have completed the foundational learning program or demonstrate equivalent knowledge through portfolio review. No prior certification is required, but you should have at least six months of hands-on experience with office plant care.

Portfolio submission

Submit six documented workplace arrangements showing different plant types, container styles, and spatial configurations. Each entry includes photographs, plant species list, care schedule, and notes on environmental conditions where the arrangement was placed.

Written examination

The test covers plant identification, disease recognition, environmental troubleshooting, and maintenance planning. Questions are scenario-based, requiring you to recommend solutions for typical office challenges like low light, dry air, or irregular watering access.

Validity period

Certification remains valid for three years. Renewal requires submission of continued practice evidence and completion of a brief update module covering any changes in plant care standards or new office environment considerations.
